Ebike Universe is now accepting crypto currency as forms of payment.

Ebike Universe for all of its online orders is now accepting crypto currency. This is a huge step for the business, as we have seen the steady growth of Bitcoin Ethereum and other forms of crypto currencies. With that, we decided we would extend the opportunity to eco-friendly transportation with this growing form of payment. So we want to take some time to answer some of the main questions about crypto currency.

What is Crypto currency?

Crypto currency is just another form of currency, like USD, Euros or CAD, but in a digital form and not assigned to one or more specific countries. Its value increases and decreases based on external factors (i.e. supply and demand) and offers a secure and private way to complete transactions.

What forms of Crypto Currency are you accepting?

Currently we are accepting, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dai, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and USD coin and we will continue to add more payment methods as we watch the market grow.

How do I know how much crypto currency is needed for the transaction?

At the point of checkout, you will be taken to the Coinbase Commerce site where they will be given an exchange rate of what is required from the cryptocurrency of your choice to its equivalent in Canadian dollars. They will then give you a QR code that you can scan as to where to send the payment to, and just send it from your crypto wallet to that address. After some time (can be up to a few hours) you will get a notification that your order has been processed.

What recourse do I have if I change my mind?

Once payment has been received, we will begin processing the order. From that point all normal return policies will be as usual with a 7 day return policy from the point that you receive the unit with a 20% restocking fee. All refunds will be sent in the same crypto currency that the payment was made, less the restocking fee and less any transaction fees required.

If the value of the cryptocurrency has increased or dropped since original payment you will receive the new equivalent amount. If Ebike Universe has insufficient cryptocurrency in this manor, we will contact you to return the balance in Canadian dollars.
